Days Two and Three of Newport Folk Festival were filled with sweet music and the summer camp-esque magic the festival has come to be known for. Saturday showcased plenty of Boston talent, including The Ballroom Thieves, Izzy Heltai‘s intimate set at the Foundation Stage, Clairo, and Anjimile‘s performance alongside other musicians from the artist-run recording company Psychic Hotline. Surprises peppered the weekend—from the premiere of Sylvan Esso‘s upcoming album “No Rules Sandy,” to guest appearances by Paul Simon and Joni Mitchell on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
