Video: “Stay the Sun” by The Western Den

Local act The Western Den has released a new music video, recorded at Berklee College of Music. “Stay the Sun” showcases the best of the group—it starts out slowly, with a quiet passion which builds up into a cathartic cry that involves harmonies from the whole band. Chris West and Deni Hvlakina, the core of the Western Den, keep the fire going throughout the song and fashion it into a carefully controlled crescendo. It’s fascinating to watch. On Thursday evening, June 12th, the Western Den will share the stage with Melissa Etheridge at the Boston Pops, and they couldn’t deserve it more.
