Alec Hutson will unleash an eclectic and otherworldly sound with his six piece band this Friday in Boston, as they cover the entirety of Radiohead’s OK Computer.
Coupled with a set from Boston Music Award’s 2019 “Vocalist of the Year” Julie Rhodes, the creative spirit that inhabits Boston will be exemplified through the smooth, diverse melodies of this performance.
This creativity reshaped a new art form as well. In his music video for “Zebra,” Hutson partnered with local filmmaker Alex Ezorsky to create a VFX-infused masterpiece. Watch as Hutson traverses a metaphysical reality that transitions his settings fluidly from day to night, sunshine to rain, and 3D to 360 degrees:
“Zebra” also appears on Reactions, Hutson’s most recent album that heavily infuses trumpets, saxophones, guitars, chimes, and synths to produce a new experimental sound. Hutson’s swift maneuvering of different genres allows his songs to seamlessly travel from psychedelia to jazz to alternative pop and back. Hear his band’s take on Radiohead’s critically-acclaimed experimental record this Friday, January 10th at Brighton Music Hall.
