September’s Boston Calling will be a very different festival than the one this coming May. No elaborate scavenger hunt was created to reveal the acts this time around, but we’re happy to announce that the lineup features solid local talent, with home-grown acts Gentleman Hall and Lake Street Dive. Bon Iver lovers will be pleased to see that S. Carey (drummer and supporting vocalist for the band) and Volcano Choir will be performing, and Lorde’s return to our city will, no doubt, be greeted with an enthusiastic welcome. Slightly over a year after the first Boston Calling event, The National are already returning to headline for a second time.
The festival’s full lineup includes The National, Lorde, The Replacements, The Roots x Nas, Neutral Milk Hotel, Childish Gambino, Spoon, Girl Talk, The 1975, Volcano Choir, Twenty One Pilots, The War on Drugs, The Hold Steady, Lake Street Dive, Bleachers, Sky Ferreira, Future Islands, San Fermin, S. Carey, Clifflight, and Gentleman Hall.
The festival will take place in City Hall Plaza from September 5-7.
Starting April 24th, you can buy 3-day tickets here.
