Ones to Watch and Fenway Recordings are bringing The Marías and Triathalon to Brighton Music Hall on Tuesday, November 20th, and we’re giving away two tickets!
The Marías are a psychedelic soul band from Los Angeles. They weave together vintage ‘60s sounds with modern pop production. According to Remezcla, “Every element of the Los Angeles band is a perfectly cut jigsaw of an immaculate whole: a vibe as vintage as it is fresh and new, and it feels natural, unthinkingly but supremely cool.”
Triathalon is a lo-fi R&B group born in Georgia and raised in New York. Their music deals with life online. They told The Fader, “These songs reflect the struggles of balancing normal life and music life, having personal relationships, and being on tour. It explores how the internet affects our perceptions as individuals and as artists.” Their sound mimics their message. The beginning of their single “Courtside” sounds like it was borrowed from a video game, for example.
This ticket giveaway closes Sunday, November 18th at 10 PM, so get your submission in soon! Anyone looking to spend their Tuesday night in a trance should come to the show. Simply like Sound of Boston on Facebook or follow us on Twitter, and fill out the form below to enter for a chance to win.
