Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Elliot Moss is performing at Red Room at Cafe 939 on Friday, June 23rd at 8:00 PM.
Though only 22 years ol, Elliot Moss has already released two critically acclaimed albums. He started working on his first album, Highspeeds, while he was a sophomore in high school. Regardless of age, he gained recognition from The Fader, Stereogum, and Vice. Many may recognize his song “Slip” from a viral dance video created by Phillip Chbeeb and Renee Kester shortly after the album was released in 2015.
Moss released his second album, Boomerang, earlier this year. “This new music is supposed to sound like two worlds at odds,” Moss told Billboard in reference to the song “Closedloop.” Boomerang, as well as Highspeeds, is a mixture of minimalist melodies with electronic accompaniment.
