The zestful Boston-based Bad Rabbits are jumping into a performance at the Sinclair with fellow local Cliff Notez to close out 2019.
Their 2018 album, Mimi, captures funk in its purest form. Fredua Boakye, the band’s versatile vocalist, commands each song with passion and an impressive range, which sets in motion a thrilling, fun-loving song like “Dollars & Change.”
Members Fredua Boakye, Sheel Davé, Salim Akram, Graham Masser, and Santiago Araujo met in 2002 while attending various universities in Boston. Looking back at their career, Bad Rabbits has won four Boston Music Awards, performed on the 2011 and 2014 Vans Warped Tour, toured with Don Broco, and collaborated with Kendrick Lamar and Anderson .Paak’s producer.
As a toast to their auspicious start, Bad Rabbits plan to close out 2019 and bound into 2020 with a 10 year anniversary tour hitting up Boston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
