The twang of folky bluegrass doesn’t always make it up to Boston often, but one group at Tufts University has been sure to bring the sound to the Hill. Even sans-summer air, The Dirty River String Band manages to leave the audience awash with a countryside feel.
Founded in 2009, the group is ever-changing, having seen 15 members over the course of the past five years. As each graduate moves on to the “real world,” alterations are made to adjust to the new combination of bandmates.
“Old Country Blues” is an original song off of their soon-to-be-released album, When We Land. Have a listen and swing by their album release party tomorrow night.
