Unity was the theme of EarthGang’s show in Boston, on the Atlanta hip-hop duo’s Welcome to Mirrorland Tour. Mick Jenkins’ opening set kicked off with the unmistakeable opener to “Jazz”: “Drink more water.” His effortlessly delivered bars warmed up the crowd, which already knew many of the words to tracks from The Circus, released last month. EarthGang, riding a wave of success from last year’s Mirrorland as well as their label Dreamville Records’ Revenge of the Dreamers III, graced the stage amid deafening screams. Mirroring the crowd’s energy, Olu and WowGr8 lit up Royale, leading the crowd in chants of “We are all EarthGang” all night long.
