Grammy-nominated electronic music artist Tycho plays at the Boch Center Wang Theatre this Wednesday, September 18th, and we’re giving away two tickets! The giveaway closes on Monday, September 16th at 10PM, so enter soon for a chance to win.
Tycho is led by Sacramento-based composer, producer, and musician Scott Hansen. Although Hansen traditionally composes his studio music alone, he is typically joined on tour by a supporting band that heightens the group’s liveliness and intimacy. For the first time in his career, however, Hansen will not only be accompanied by a band during Tycho’s 2019 Weather World Tour, but by vocalist Saint Sinner as well.
This exciting inclusion comes in the wake of Tycho’s new album, Weather. As the 5th studio album in Tycho’s storied career, Weather is a brave progression from their traditionally instrumental electronic brand. The album retains Tycho’s conventionally expansive, relaxed melodies, yet effortlessly adds Saint Sinner’s soothing vocals for an ambient pop sound unlike anything Tycho has produced before.
With a multi-talented band at their back and Saint Sinner’s fresh, smooth voice at the helm, Tycho’s show is sure to leave the Boch Center Wang Theatre audience glued to their seats in a wide-eyed, trance-like stupor.
