Weekly Wrap-Up: 4/14/14

Berklee College of Music alum Betty Who just dropped her Slow Dancing EP  last week and everybody has been raving about her catchy synth-pop tunes. In just one week, she was been interviewed and featured on everything from Billboard and Ok! Magazine  to Boston Globe, and MuuMuse music blog. Not only that, but her Slow Dancing EP reached #1 on iTunes Pop Albums chart on April 8th. It’s been an exciting week for this Austrailian native and we would like to congratulate for all the success she’s had thus far!

Legendary hip-hop artist Edan was featured in the Boston Globe last week, where he talked about leaving Berklee College of Music, bringing the hip-hop scene to Boston, and what he’s been doing since his hiatus after releasing “Beauty and the Beat” in 2005 . Stay tuned for the rock EP he’s currently recording, which he’ll be singing and playing most of the background instruments.

The 2014 Rock N Rumble Semifinals will be held this Thursday at TT The Bears in Cambridge. Here’s a sneak  peak of the bands that will be battling it out this Thursday.
