At just 18 years old, Atlanta-based artist Demo Taped is already making waves with his catchy, electronic-warped sound and emotional lyrics.
His career began in his bedroom, with just Garage Band and a story to tell. Suffering from depression, something Demo Taped speaks openly about, his music explores his own personal toils in a way that is at once youthful and relatable, yet nuanced. Propelled by wide-spread positive reinforcement, Demo Taped decided to turn his “hobby” into something more. And we’re glad he did. His sound is RnB-electronic, yet distinguishes itself from other artists due to well-timed glitches, booming bass undertones, and effervescent vocals all seamlessly blended together. “I’ve set my sights on spreading love and good vibes through my music… I want to be able to put a smile on someone’s face, or to make someone dance.” In our opinion, Demo Taped has far exceeded his humble goals.
He has already released an EP called Heart, remixed well-known artists, and was featured on Pigeons & Planes’ 20 Artists Under 20 You Should Know. He has recently joined up with Wet, known for mesmerizing jams such as Deadwater and Don’t Wanna Be Your Girl. This collaboration is just one of many reasons you do not want to miss this show.
