Ripe, Viva La Hop, Gang of Thieves at Brighton Music Hall – Selected by Jon

The Red Hot Chili Peppers jumped into a time machine back to their funk-rock 80’s roots and are playing at Brighton Music Hall! Oh wait, sorry—that’s Gang of Thieves. With Boston’s Ripe and Viva La Hop also on the bill, Brighton Music Hall will shake, rattle, and roll.

Otter at Church Boston – Selected by Knar

Shake out those winter woes as you groove to local band Otter. They made our “Top 10 Local Acts to Watch in 2015,” and they’ll be playing the cozy venue that is Church. So, yes, it’ll be a good idea to forgo lazing about in your pajamas, postpone your weekend Netflix binge, and catch these guys live.

Magic Man at Royale – Selected by Beth

Hometown synth-rock sensation Magic Man will be back in town this Tuesday with Panama Wedding and Tiger Town for a show that will rock your socks off. They’re sure to light up the night with new songs of their debut album Before the Waves, as well as old favorites. It’s appropriate this is being hosted at the Royale; their infectious energy and vivacious beats will have you dancing all night.

Flight Facilities at The Sinclair – Selected by TK

Australian dance/indie duo Flight Facilities are the masterminds behind the international hit “Crave You,” which has gained immense popularity and recognition as of late. You do not want to miss these two Aussies throw down.

Krill, Cloud Becomes Your Hand, Kal Marks at Great Scott – Selected by Noah

Sound of Boston chose Krill as one of the city’s top 10 local artists to watch in 2015. We weren’t the only ones to praise Krill. In support of their recently released album, A Distant Fist Unclenching, Krill has garnered positive reviews from Rolling Stone and NME. This will likely be your last chance to catch them in Boston until they play at Boston Calling in May, and as an added bonus, fellow Bostonians Kal Marks will be opening the show. Come for Kal Marks’ sludgy guitar-rock and stay for Krill’s oddball post-punk.
