Native Construct at House of Blues Boston – Selected by Matt M.

These Berklee grads are making tidal waves across the progressive metal scene, and they’ve only just begun. Their debut album Quiet World is a theatrical, genre-jumping trip through a vibrant musical landscape. Loungy swing, technical jazz rock, dramatic symphonic swells, and brutal death metal only scratches the surface of what this meticulously composed work has to offer. The last time the band was in town they played the cramped Middle East Upstairs, but just a few months later they’re set to hit the House of Blues stage with one of their biggest influences, Between the Buried and Me. Get there early though, they’re on first!

For a mere $12 (you’ve paid that much for a bad movie), you can sink into the soul of this mother-son  duo from Missouri. It’s a pleasure to see these two groove.
