The deck of the ICA became a dance floor as Ripe pumped infectiously danceable songs and laughter into the air. As part of Berklee’s Summer Series, the local funk seven-piece performed an outdoor set at the edge of Boston’s harbor. Unlike some of the other acts in the series, Ripe’s music is designed to lure audiences out of the ICA’s stadium seats; it’s hard to resist the groove. Lead singer Robbie bounced around the stage, the horns blasted out jazzy solos, and the drums propelled feet off the crowd. As the sun began to set, sending warm hues from across the harbor, the energy only grew. We captured part of the night so you, too, can move to the groove: Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to email this to a friend (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window) One Response Joe Considine September 28, 2015 Awesome!
